Haldia, The name of one of the fastest growing self-sufficient cities of India. It’s mostly known as The Industrial Capital of West Bengal and The Port & Petro City. It is situated in the District of Purba Medinipur in West Bengal about 120 km. from Kolkata. But I don’t like to call my Haldia by these popular names. Why?....

Haldia is coming up as a self-sufficient complete city for all with its all other features as Education, Sports, Culture, Health, Tourism, Entertainment etc.  Simply, The Dream city.

Visit Haldia Utsab in the beginning of each year (Jan - Feb). Remember, It’s The Biggest Non-Religious Festival in India

From Kolkata : Esplanade - Raichak Bus (Journey for 1.5 Hrs. Fare : Rs. 24), Raichak - Kukrahati (Entrance of Haldia) By Water Vessel of Haldia Municipality in just 15 min. (Fare : Rs. 8.50), Kukrahati - Haldia Township by Private Bus, Mini Bus or Municipality Bus in just 40 min. to 1 Hr (Fare : Rs. 18).
Direct Kolkata - Haldia : By Haldia Municipality AC Coach in just 2.5 Hrs. from Esplanade for Rs. 110. Time:4:30 pm & 5:00 pm (Check once)
By Train : Howrah - Mecheda by any Local Train (SE Rlys.) like HWH-Mecheda, HWH-Panskura, HWH-Kharagpur, HWH-Medinipur (Fare : about Rs. 15), Mecheda - Haldia By Private or State or Municipality Bus ( Fare : about Rs. 30)
