POOR MAINTENANCE OF ZOO a review for Alipore Zoological Garden Kolkata India
We came with very high expectation inside the Alipore Zoo. The crowd was overwhelming and I suggest the fee collected is not being utilized properly. Lot of dust, cleanliness of the Zoo is not at all there. It is very bad in condition. Elephants which are considered as human friendly are kept in such a worst condition and they are not even bathed for months together. The place where Tigers are kept are also not cleaned properly. Ashoka Hotel is not a place to be, alot of dirty work goes on. This we realised when I reached with my family to the hotel. Nearly all the enclosures are small and barren and do not have any enrichment. No clean water or fresh food was observed in the enclosures. Garbage bins are overflowing throughout the zoo, and many of the enclosures contain piles of decomposing rubbish. The moats in many of the enclosures are filthy and filled with debris. The water in the crocodile enclosure is stagnant and has duck weed growing in it. There are no guards to protect the animals ... more

great place to be in a review for Trincas
I was present alongwith my partner on the night of 27th January 2007. Service at this restaurant was excellent, snacks served were tasty and well prepared. HOwever, the live english band at night was bad. The Crooner kept leaving the stage to go to the toilet area for a gulp of alchol. Trincas management should not allow alchol intake while on duty. The lasy was practically falling down at the end of the show not a very good image for people ... more
