Visiting the Brahma temple is definitely the "tourist" thing to do in Pushkar. The template is devoted to Brahma, the source of all creation in Hindu mythology, and also the "only" Brahma temple in the world. Legend has it that his consort, Saraswati, was very upset with Brahma and put a curse on Brahma that he was not to be worshipped by anyone on earth. Then, after relenting, she decreed that Pushkar was the only place that he would be worshipped..... and hence the temple. One thing to watch out for: the preists who do a prayer (pooja) for you can be very pushy in terms of asking for donations. My advice to you is to keep an amount in mind that you want to donate before you go to the lake, and do not go higher.
Directions:It's at the end of the market road on the banks of the lake
