Sawai Madhopor & Ranthambore wildlife National Park:-From Jaipur, Sawai Madhopor is only 123 Kms. by train and two hours journey. There are numbers of good hotels in Sawai Madhopor and the National park is only 12 kms. away from there.Sawai Madhopor is the most convinient place where plenty of hotels are available and National park is also near so going for a wild life Safari twice in a day is not inconvinient. The tourists can go on safari inside the national park either by Canter( a larger vehicle ) or by hiring a Jeep. The numbers of Canters available are more and it has more seating capacity so it is easier to get seats in a Canter where as if you want to hire a jeep, you will have to book one before 30 days. Most tourists prefer to hire a jeep as because of it's size it can go deeper into the forest or go nearer to the animal after it is spotted.The terrain of the national park is like dry dedicuous forest with open grassy meadows with rocky hills. The entire landscape is beautiful with natural lakes and rivers and the fabulous Ranthambore Fort also blends beautifully with the surrounding beauty of the park. On the left side of the main gate to enter the park, the forest rest house called "Jogi Mahal" is there and in front of it, there is a big lake called "Padam talao". Around this lake you can see most of the wild animals like tiger, Hyena, leopard etc. during the day time. Each Safari is allocated a particular route which it has to follow to avoid more traffic in a particular area. Numbers of vehicles to enter the park are also controlled from the main gate. It is one of the finest Wildlife national parks of India to see the tigers.Things to remember:- 1. Private cars and vehicles are not allowed to enter the park. 2. To hire a jeep for the safari is very difficult because it has to be booked 30 days in advance. 3. Park remains closed in the monsson season. 4. To enter the park tourists have to pay entrance fees per person and also for the vehicle to enter and for the elecronic equipment like still camera, video camera.

Directions:
The most convinient way of going to Ranthambore is to go by train to Sawai Madhopor. It is only two hours journey and the leaves Jaipur station everyday in the morning. The timings for the train are very convinient.
