Review for Hotel Pegasus Crown in Shillong, Meghalaya, India
The manager was just brilliant. He made us more then welcomed and ensured our stay was a most memorable one. His team of fine staff are a credit to this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and service was prompt and friendly. Well done, Kailash.
Ease 'em purse strings....
As the name suggests, its a bazaar, with shops catering to both high-end and low-end (literally) customers. Shillong has always been a stalwart in style. Long before anything "in" hits Mumbai or Delhi, Shillong has it. Places to shop: Glory's Plaza; Bhutiya Market; Uncle's Shop; Mohini's etc. Places to eat: Plenty...my personal favorites..Delhi's and Flury's. I am not sure if Abba's is still there.
Golf
Shillong, the Scotland of the East, has a naturally laid Golf course, much like the one in St. Andrews. An 18 hole course within the hills covered with pines. A local picnic spot for many. An experience in itself in these days of artificially laid landscaped course. A must-do for any avid golfer. |
