For several years it was the tallest structure in Mumbai and was an important landmark. It is named after a prominent businessman, Premchand Roychand who funded the construction of the tower. The architecture is typically British with exquisite carved figures adorning the base and the wall of the tower. It is situated in downtown Mumbai in the busy financial district. However the beautiful garden of the University provides a tranquil atmosphere conducive to learning.
