Great day trip from Bombay. A peaceful 1 or so boat ride gets you to the island. Strongly recommend you take a guide once there to show you around and explain the history of the caves, carvings and the island. Very fascinating stuff. The carvings and caves dates back more than a 1000 years!!

There are enough options for food on the island. All necessities - mineral water, batteries, film, food, etc are available.
