We arrived at the Mirador hotel at 4.30am after 10 hours of travelling. We had booked a room through EXPEDIA and had a guaranteed reservation.

The Manager of the hotel let us get out of the hotel car, take our bags in to reception, tip the staff and take our passports before he decided to tell us that he'd given our room away.

He said he'd organised for us to stay at their sister hotel - the Regency - which wasn't far away. He had us over a barrel so after much arguing he took us there.

Suffice to say, the hotel he took us to was disgusting.... unhygenic, crusty used toiletries, dirty and right on the motorway. The Manager said it was a 3 star hotel but that we'd still have to pay the 4 star rate we were going to pay at the Mirador.

All in all, disgusting service from the Mirador hotel who not only lied to us but showed no customer service at all. In fact, the Manager spent most of the time smirking.

Expedia don't really have any control over this hotel as the Mirador are simply advertisers but if you want to be sure of getting a room, don't book this hotel.
