The Kanheri Caves are an undervalued historical gem of Mumbai. It's the Elephanta Caves with a lot more excitement and a lot more to see. You have Chaityas, Viharas- with oriental inscription et all. There are some very eerie caves too with gigantic representations of the Buddha. It's a splendid experince every time you go there. We arrived at the Mirador hotel at 4.30am after 10 hours of travelling. We had booked a room through EXPEDIA and had a guaranteed reservation. The Manager of the hotel let us get out of the hotel car, take our bags in to reception, tip the staff and take our passports before he decided to tell us that he'd given our room away. We had actually booked into the Mirador Hotel but on arrival at 4.30am they told us that our room wasn't available and that they'd therefore booked us in to their sister hotel - The Regency. The room at the Mirador cost us £115 and the Regency wanted to charge us the same eventhough the hotel is only a 3 star property, not 4 star. "Un trustworthy Hotel Srikamal International,Solapur" I have called from Pune to book the ac room for 3 days from 22 Nov 2007 , and cofirmed that I will be reaching by Hutatma express at around 10.30 P.M. After reaching there in night he has flatly refused about booking in casual and jocking mood.He has created great inconvinance .So be aware.I feel management utterly irresponsible. Thanking you

The City Officials need to pay some serious attention to the roads...I mean they dont exist period...!!! Only pot holes, dust and undesciplined traffic..!! The City has such a hugh potential to grow...it produced some of the finest Hundustani Classical Musicians... it has some of the best middle schools, high schools, Engineering schools, Medical Schools and other general colleges...!!
