You can start from the Surath kal beach, down to Panambur beach, then the thanir bhavi beach which termiinates at bengere. The river opens out inot the sea and the beaches are continue from there on at Ullal, where the famous Summer Sands Beach Resort is, followed by someshwar, uchilla till one reaches the Kerala Border. The Ullal to Keral border is one strech and the Beach hopping or Beach combing is an out of the world experience. Have fun!

Commercial Street is a trendy part of Bangalore. It offers restaurants, clothing stores, souvenir shops, etc. The one I particularly liked is Kaveri - this shop had exquisite brass statuettes, hand carved wood items, and things local to bangalore.
