Thol lake.
If you have spare time while in Ahmedabad and are interested in nature, go to Thol lake. As it is not at all far away, the return trip will only take 3 to 4 hours. One should go there either in the early morning or late afternoon. Herds of Flamingoes, Pelicans and different types of migrating birds can be seen. Tourists are advised to take their binoculars and camera along with them.
